How To Make Pipe Cleaner Flowers
For the first day of Spring I wanted to share a craft involving flowers. I looked back on the tissue paper flowers that I made last year and I wanted to create something different. I had bought a whole bunch of pipe cleaners last winter but never used them. So I wanted to try to make a few crafts with these. My first project are these pipe cleaner flowers! I bent them every which way until I finally found a method that looked so cute. I’ve been working on a new gallery wall for my living room and have put up a few small shelves, so these will fit perfectly on one of the shelves.
The only supplies that you need for this are pipe cleaners. You will need 4 to make the flower and 1 to make the stem.
Take your “stem” pipe cleaner and wrap it around the middle of your 4 “petal” pipe cleaners 3-4 times.
Next, roll each petal by wrapping it around your finger from the tips to the center of your flower.
Once you have rolled all of the petals, arrange them how you would like the flower to look. I like to have the petal in a nice neat circle with the stem showing in the middle. But these would also look good with the petals randomly placed around the stem.
These took just a few minutes to make, and they were so easy that my daughter was able to make a few. I bought a small glass vase to put these in so I folded up the stem and twisted it so that they would fit.
These are not only great for spring decorations but also for Easter, Mother’s Day or any day that you want a little bit of color and cheer!
These are so bright and fun – what a great project!
