Rice Cooker Chocolate Cake
I am often on the look out for new recipes to try, but it usually involves a new combination of flavors. I recently had the opportunity to try out the new Hamilton Beach 4-20 Cup Rice Cooker and while looking for a few recipes to try out I discovered that you can make desserts with a rice cooker! This was intriguing and I had to try it. I took a basic chocolate cake recipe, adjusted the ingredients as needed and came up with a pretty delicious treat!
I mixed my ingredients and cooked them in my Hamilton Beach Rice Cooker for 60 minutes on the Whole Grain setting. It was so easy! After the cake cooled, I turned the inside cook bowl upside down and the cake slid out.
I wasn’t sure how to cake would turn out and I admit, I was skeptical. But it was soft and delicious! I sprinkled a bit of powdered sugar on top and also added a bit of homemade whipped cream. I think in the future I might top this cake with a fresh fruit compote, or maybe a caramel sauce. Yum!
