25th Anniversary Heart & Stroke Walk and 5K Heart Race

The American Heart Association is hosting its 25^th Anniversary Heart & Stroke Walk and 5K Heart Race on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. There will be special recognition of heart disease and stroke survivors, activities for kids, and a “doggie den” for your furry friends.

Let’s walk like it’s 1993! Break out your best 1990s fashions and come out to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Heart & Stroke Walk. The Heart & Stroke Walk is the American Heart Association’s premier event for raising funds to save lives from this country’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers – heart disease and stroke. At the San Antonio Heart & Stroke Walk, we will honor survivors, remember loved ones, and celebrate the AHA Mission.

Grounds open at 7:15 a.m. The Heart & Stroke Walk will kick off at 9:00 a.m. with a brief opening ceremony where we’ll honor veterans and first responders. Create a team, join an existing team, or walk on your own to honor someone you love.

5K HEART RACE

Kidd Kraddick Morning Show DJ, Sponsor Give Aways, KidsZone, Doggie Den, Survivor Celebrations, Surprise Guests, and so much more! 5K Heart Race – $25 race entry fee, includes your official swag bag! In honor of Veterans Day weekend, we will have special acknowledgements of all military and first responders. The timed 5K Heart Race will take place at 8:00 a.m. on the same day.
