Summertime isn’t just a break for my kids. During Summer, I don’t have to drive my kids to and from school, wait for sports practice to end, or run around town looking for school project supplies. I get to sit back and relax while the kids swim at the pool, or play in the backyard, and catch up on my reading. I recently received a copy of Behind Closed Doors to review and I welcomed the opportunity! Reading is something that I have loved since I was a kid, but being busy with the kids’ school schedule doesn’t allow for much free time so summer is my chance to catch up on a few good books.
I finished Behind Closed Doors in 3 days because I couldn’t put it down. I took it to the pool, to the park, and stayed up late at night to find out what happened next. I usually read murder mysteries, but when I read the cover “The perfect marriage? Or the perfect lie?” I was intrigued. This book was intense and compelling, the characters were well-developed, and the plot was unexpected. A great read that I recommend to any book lover!
About the Book:
Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace.
He has looks and wealth, she has charm and elegance. You might not want to like them, but you do. Though, you’d like to get to know Grace better.
But it’s difficult, because you realise Jack and Grace are never apart.
Some might call this true love. Others might ask why Grace never answers the phone. Or how she can never meet for coffee, even though she doesn’t work. How she can cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim. And why there are bars on one of the bedroom windows.
Sometimes, the perfect marriage is the perfect lie.
