Camping Themed Photo Display Board
I recently was given a paper pack called Adventure by Authentique that was packed full of pretty printed inspired by camping and the outdoors. While I am not necessarily a camper, I do love to spend time outdoors! I wanted to use the paper to make a hanging display for a picture to add to my gallery wall, so that what I’m going to show you today.
Supplies:
- art canvas panel
- paint
- paint brush
- Adventure by Authentique paper pack
- Sizzix Big Shot or BIGKick machine
- Sizzix Cutting Pads
- Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 6PK – Scoot
- glue (I used Elmer’s Craft Bond Glue Stick)
- twine (or natural cord)
- hot glue
Instructions:
First, paint y0ur canvas the color of your choice. Be sure to paint around the edges to make sure it has a finished look when displayed.
While the paint is drying, pick the pieces that you would like to use in your display.
I used the Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 6PK – Scoot with my BIGKick machine to die cut a few pieces for my display.
Next, arrange the pieces on the board and glue them down.
When arranging your pictures, make sure you save room for your picture!
After the glue has dried you can add your picture. I used double sided tape so that I can change out the picture if I want to.
Turn your display board over and mark where you want to add the twine, or cord.
Use a hot glue gun to add the twine, or cord.
Once the glue dries, you are ready to hang the picture in your home. I hope that today’s project inspires you to create a photo display board of your own!
Love, love, love this idea! We go camping with family…going to have make them one of these for Christmas! Thanks for the inspiration :)
