Dinos Around the World at Discovery Cube
With school ending in just a few weeks, I’ve been making a list of some fun activities to do with the kids this Summer. I was excited to find out that the Discovery Cube’s summer exhibit was Dinos Around the World! We visited on opening day and had a great time. My boys are real dino lovers so it was fun not only to see the giant dinos moving but also to learn facts about each one.
About the exhibit:
Grab your prehistoric pass to Pangea and step into Dinosaurs Around the World. In this immersive exhibit, Dino-lovers of all ages will experience a time before the continents existed, bringing to life the 172 million year reign of the dinosaurs. Through a multi-layered narrative, visitors will learn about the dispersion of dinosaurs during the splitting of Pangea. The exhibit features a variety of dinosaurs from various regions, such as the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex of North America or the swift Velociraptor of the Gobi Desert. Visitors will experience the Age of Reptiles through:
- Advanced animatronics
- Fossils
- Authentic Casts
- Cutting-edge research
- Immersive design elements
Young learners will also discover more about the geologic time scale, geology, geography, and climatology. This exhibit provides visitors the chance to experience the pre-historic era while also learning and enjoying the amazing story of the dinosaurs.
Dinosaurs Around the World takes you back in time on a tour of an Earth very different from today – a time before the continents as we know them existed when lush landscapes covered
Africa and greenery was the norm in Antarctica! With advanced animatronics, a multi-layered narrative, fossils, authentic casts, cutting-edge research and immersive design elements you’ll
experience the Age of Reptiles as it comes to life!
Parents can keep the Dino fun rolling for their little Dino fans with Discovery Cube’s Dino themed Birthday Parties, Dino Summer Field Trips, Dino Summer Camps and Dino Sleepovers
which include exploration of the exhibit and the Discovering Dinos stage show.
