Halloween PomPom Characters
PomPom characters are one of my most favorite crafts to make. My kids and I have been making them for years and every time they have so much fun being creative and even a little silly with how they decorate them. These Halloween themed characters are quite simple, but make a great addition to any seasonal display.
If you are not familiar with how to make pompoms, you can read this post: 4 Simple Ways to Make Yarn PomPoms
The yarn pumpkins I’ve written a tutorial on before, so I won’t spend any time on those here. But you can find the tutorial here: How to Make Yarn Pumpkins.
For the spider, start with a black pompom then take 2 black pipe cleaners and cut them in half to make legs. Push each leg throw the piece of yarn that you tied around the middle of the pompom, then bend them in half from the end to make your legs. Now all you need are googly eyes!
For the ghost, make a white pompom but instead of tying a piece of yarn around the middle tie it towards the top then cut the bottom, or longer end, only. If you are going to hang your ghost, tie a piece of yarn through the top loop and knot at the top of the ghost.
You can add googly eyes if you want, but it’s not necessary.
Now you can add these adorable little pompoms to your holiday displays! The ghosts make a great garland for your mantle and the spiders can be added all over the house for a fun hide and seek game with the kids.
