Knott’s Berry Farm – Ghost Town Alive!
For my husband’s birthday he wanted to go to Knott’s Berry Farm to check out Ghost Town Alive. We always walk through Ghost Town when we visit Knott’s but for the 75th anniversary, there was a whole cast of characters to interact with the guests. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back!
Now through September 5, Knott’s Berry Farm’s Ghost Town is celebrating its 75th anniversary with the new interactive entertainment experience, Ghost Town Alive!, where you play a role in new stories and adventures unfolding daily in the old west town of Calico.
Plus, for the first time ever, step inside and explore the legendary shops and buildings around Ghost Town, including the Sheriff’s Office, Barbershop, and Goldie’s Place!
The new GhostRider, the longest, tallest, and fastest wooden roller coaster on the west coast, is now open with new coaster trains that gallop over 4,500 feet of smooth new track!
Plus, don’t miss all new summer entertainment, including the explosive new Wild West Stunt Show, the wild and wonderful Circus of Wonders on the Calico Mine Stage, and the high kickin’ new Calico Saloon show. The Ghost Town 75th anniversary celebration is only this summer at Knott’s!
What to do in Ghost Town:
Pan for Gold
Pan for Gold has returned to its original home in Ghost Town. The return to its former location near the GhostRider queue allows for a more spacious panning experience, which means a more comfortable experience and better photo ops to capture the moment when a loved one strikes it rich!
Livery Stable
Meet the horses of Calico and say hello to Brutus the burro in the new livery stable. While you’re there, chat with the Knott’s world class equestrian team to learn about the animals.
Step into History
For the first time in 75 years, you can step inside and explore the legendary shops and buildings around Ghost Town. Play cards in the Sheriff’s Office, get a mustache “trim” in the Barbershop, and learn the delicate art of textile manufacturing in the seamstress’ shop!
After we walked through Ghost Town we went into an old time candy shop for some sweet treats!
We also took a picture with some locals!
And, of course, we took a train ride around the park.
Ghost Town Alive! 75th-anniversary celebration at Knott’s Berry Farm ends September 05th.
