Making the Switch to Stevia

Nearly four years ago I decided to make a switch from using sugar to stevia. The decision came at a time in my life when I realized how important my health was. I have three kids and I want to make sure that I am here and present for all of the most important events in their lives! Making the switch wasn’t easy, but it was the best decision of my life. Making the Switch
The best way to make the switch from sugar to stevia, in my opinion, is doing so gradually. I started by using stevia in my morning coffee. Then I tried it in my morning oatmeal, followed by my baking, and before I knew it all of my usual uses for sugar had been switched to stevia. I use it in sweet tea and lemonade during the Summer, and in cookies or cakes for the holidays. There really are no limits to where you can substitute stevia for sugar!
Choosing the Right Brand
When you’re taking about sugar, it pretty much tastes the same no matter what brand you choose. But stevia is different, I’m not sure why but the brand you use makes a huge difference. Some brands are overly sweet and some leave a bitter aftertaste. My favorite brand to use is Splenda Naturals. It’s 100% natural, has a good flavor, and no aftertaste.
