Valentines Day No Sew Treat Bags
Giving candy to friends and family for Valentine’s Day is always fun, and each year my daughter and I try to come up with unique ideas for our gift giving. We wanted to go beyond creative cards so we decided to make cute packaging for the candy instead. These no-sew treat bags were easy to make and turned out cuter than expected!
Supplies:
- Fabric
- Heat N Bond Ultra 3/8″ iron on adhesive
- scissors
- ribbon
- pinking shears (optional)
Cut your fabric to 8″ x 4″, fold right sides together and press the bottom seam. Unfold and is the seam as a guide to iron on the adhesive stripes to one half of the right side of the fabric. Iron the adhesive strips, once cooled remove the paper backing and press the two sides together to make your bag.
Be sure to wait until the adhesive has cooled before you turn the bag right side out and then press the side seems again. I used pinking shears to trim the top of the bags jut for decoration, it’s not necessary but it looks nice.
Next, fill you bag with candy and tie a ribbon around the top to close it.
Now your treat bags are ready for giving! These bags took just minutes to make and they turned out so cute. They’re an easy and attractive gift bag for any occasion!
