Pass the Present Gift Exchange Game
When I worked in an office we would play Pass the Present every year at our company Christmas party. This is a game that works with white elephant gift exchanges and assumes all gifts are wrapped. One person would pick a gift from the table and you could choose to keep it or swap with someone else. All other guests continue, one by one until all of the presents were gone.
Now that I live next door to my sister and her four kids we will be spending Christmas with her so I wanted to have a fun game for all of the kids to play. I made this printable to work with dice so each turn will be left to chance, which I thought was more fun! I bought eight boxes of movie theater candy at Walmart (also available at Target or Dollar Tree) and wrapped them so no one knows what they have. Pass out the wrapped candy to each kid and then let them take turns rolling the dice. You can go around the group once, or twice. You can also do a time limit – go around as many times as you can within 20 minutes.
I’m excited to play this Christmas! If all goes well it might be a fun game to play at birthday parties, holidays, or family game night. Stay tuned!
