On Friday nights we have a family tradition of pizza followed by a movie. We always get the same pizzas – one with pepperoni and one with pineapple, then we put on our pj’s and snuggle on the couch to watch a movie. The kids usually pick the same few movies to watch over and over, so I like to make each week a bit more exciting by switching up our movie snacks!
This past week I wanted to try a snack that combined the yummy flavors of a Summer classic – s’mores! I started with a new graham cracker cereal Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® Multigrain Shapes. Then I added some little chocolate graham cracker cookies and mini marshamallows. I made a do-it-yourself snack bar with bowls of all three items and let the kids build their own s’mores.
My older son is a big peanut butter fan, so he wanted to try the Kellogg’s® Jif™ Peanut Butter Cereal in place of the graham crackers for a different twist. What a great idea, they were delicious!
The cereals we used, Kellogg’s® Jif™ Peanut Butter Cereal and Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® Multigrain Shapes, are new varieties from Kellogg’s and are quickly becoming family favorites. I like to snack on the peanut butter cereal while I’m working late at night, it’s delicious and filling!
Both cereals are available at Walmart, and to celebrate these delicious new flavors Kellogg’s is hosting a Movie Night at select Walmart locations:
