Printable Thankful Cards & Decorative Basket
A few blogger friends and I are participating in a Dollar Bin Challenge today! We got together and picked an item from Target’s Dollar Spot and today we’re all posting our own craft projects using the white, plastic baskets we found. For my project, I decided to decorate the basket to use for my Thanksgiving Thankful Cards. If you’re not familiar with how thankful cards work, you print them out before Thanksgiving dinner and have your family write a few things that they are thankful for. Then after dinner, one person will read them to the family. You can also pass around the basket and have everyone pull one out to read too.
Okay, let’s get started! I started by painting my basket a light gold color. I used Antique Gold by FolkArt.
Next I used my Sizzix Big Shot and die cut flowers with the Sizzix Sizzlits Die – Holiday Greenery.
I then glued on the flowers using basic craft glue.
I wanted to add a small sign with instructions to my basket, so that I didn’t need to sit next to it during Thanksgiving explaining to everyone what needs to be done! So I painted a clothespin using Copper by FolkArt.
Be sure to check out all of the other projects and see how these little white baskets inspired everyone else!

We already have the next Dollar Bin Challenge item picked out. Any guesses on what it could be? I’m not telling, you’ll have to wait until December!
Such a great idea!! I think I’m going to use your printables for Thanksgiving this year for sure. It will make a great keepsake for the holiday too. I can have the little ones draw pictures of what they are thankful for. Love it!
