DIY Automatic Dishwasher Detergent

For a year now, I’ve been making and replacing household cleaners with DIY non-toxic alternatives. I FINALLY found a great recipe for dishwasher detergent. It works, it’s EASY, fast, affordable, and non-toxic!

So here’s what you need to make your own:

• 2 Cups Borax
• 1 Cup Baking Soda
• 1/2 Cup Citric Acid
• 1/2 Cup Kosher Salt
• 5+ drops of Lemon Essential Oil (or any citrus)

Instructions: Combine all ingredients and mix well. Store in an air tight container. For each use, add approximately 2 Tbsp per load.

NOTE: If your detergent clumps at any point, just stir it up again.
